A lot of progress on Follow Your Dreams

Of course it's been a while since I last posted. I am not blogging the way I use to but that's okay. I am really enjoying this piece and will be sad when it is finished. It is so pretty and delicate....I love it.

I am still having problems with Menaires Disease. Hopefully I'll start PT again and that will help. The place is suppose to call me and set up an appointment so far they haven't.

We had a Kitten Shower at the Cat Shelter a couple of weeks ago. We have over 110 kittens to adopt out the most we've ever had so they decided to have a shower. We adopted out 6 kittens and 1 cat at it. We were happy, a lot of people came in and looked but didn't adopt. But we figured it got our name out there. People are finding out we're there, since they moved the shelter out here, it's been harder to get people to come, where as before they were more in the mainstream of things. But the Humane Society is just in back of us. But by my figures (I write down the names of each cat (not kitten) adopted and so far this year 93 cats were adopted out, already more then last year. Speaking of adoptions our sweet Bert, a very shy cat and had been with us for 5 years got adopted. Bittersweet as he was one of my favorites really a favorite of a lot of us.
The adopters are friends of one of the volunteers who works with our Vet. They adopted 3 cats, the other 2 weren't with us very long and not as shy as Bert. They were told to give Bert a long time to adjust. I think he'll adjust to the cats quicker then he will to the human. Adopting the 3 they did brought them up to 6 cats in the house and we're told they will be spoiled rotten.

My sister came in last week and because of my balance problems I had problems doing some housework. The apartment is still very clean, I've been trying to make sure I catch little things and keep it clean.

My cat wants me off the computer so until next time Happy Stitching.

Hi. Just happened on your blog and wanted to leave a comment. We have a dog that came from a shelter ten years ago and love Riley to the moon and back. I also got a kitten which was only eight inches long from head to the end of her tail from a shelter, and we named her Tiny Girl. She's so sweet. Keep up the wonderful work you do for these little critters. So sad about Bert being in a shelter for five years, and I pray that the new home will work out well.
Love the on butterfly wings stitch. Very pretty. LindaLee

I'm a newer "follower" to your blog. I probably came across it through a mutual blog we follow. I absolutely adore the piece you are stitching! The colors are so beautiful. I'm sorry to hear about your problems with balance. I have a friend who suffers from the same issue. She works as a waitress and you can imagine how it can interfere with that at times. Thank you for letting me peek at your beautiful work. --Andrea

Lovely work on your butterfly.
My ex-husband had Merniere's Disease too. Apparently it is unusual for it to affect hearing people rather than deaf. Not much comfort to him!
I wish we could adopt all the cats, my old one was a rescue cat, she was lovely with us but hated children.
