A new start

Good afternoon! I am enjoying this new piece. Yes if is very detailed but so much easier then my last piece was. I wanted something pretty, something spring, something about Easter and this piece fits the bill in all 3 categories. This is progress after about 16 hours of work.

Today is so nice out right now. They said it was going to rain but so far I haven't seen it. I am so anxious for spring to come. Hopefully, we have seen the last of the snow. I can't wait to get some new flowers in my garden. For Easter Sunday I ordered some Daffodils for our church service in memory of my parents. We had a choice of Lilies, Tulips or Daffodils, I already had Tulips and Lilies so I ordered Daffodils.

This Sunday we are having a spaghetti dinner at church. I love spaghetti especially when made by someone else. I keep meaning to get my neighbors recipe for spaghetti sauce and make home made spaghetti sauce but I keep forgetting to ask her when I see her.

Well....until next time.....Happy Stitching!

Finally Finished

Good evening. Well it's early evening. I just finished Today I shall Live in Faith late this afternoon. Man those butterflies were hard. I was so happy to finish the piece. Tomorrow my sister in law will pick it up and it will be made into a pillow and our local Child Evangelism Fellowship can sell it at a craft sell this Sat.

Last Saturday I went out to eat with my brother and sister in law and my niece and her family. We celebrated Melissa's birthday. Afterwards we went to Melissa and John's house. I played 3 different games with little Katelyn (7) and of course I lost them all.

It looks like spring may be coming in. There isn't any snow in the forecast and they say now through June it's suppose to be warmer then average. Good. I was really sick of the snow.

There isn't much happening right now so until next time.....Happy Stitching!

A new start

Good afternoon! How is everyone doing with all the storms? We got hit yesterday but nothing compared to the east coast. Stay safe and warm everyone out east. I hope you are all doing okay.

My sister came to town on Sat. planned to stay until Monday but when she heard the storms were coming in and it would be bad in the Lansing area, she left late Sunday afternoon. We got a lot accomplished in the day she was here and she's planning to come back maybe the weekend of the 26th. We're having a spaghetti dinner at church that Sunday wonder if I can convince her and Tim (our brother) to stay for it. Kay won't be hard to convince but Tim? He doesn't like to eat with other people so I don't know.

I decided I wanted to get something nice and spring like to stitch. Like most people I am sick of winter even though it's been a mild one for us. This is a difficult piece though as the butterflies are so intricate and the pattern is not an easy one to follow at all. But I have my trusty magnifying glass handy and that does help a lot. I need encouragement on this piece though. It is going slow but I'm in no hurry, if a just stitch a little each day. Just takes me 4 or 5 hours to get a few stitches in sometimes. Sort of like my America piece only much smaller and the America pattern is much easier to read. Speaking of the America piece, I mislaid it! I'll find it somewhere. I put it in a safe place and it's so safe I don't know where it is! LOL!

I can't believe we are already to the middle of March. I can't wait until March is over and spring is here. I ordered some flowers for Easter Sunday at church and I am anxious to plant them in my garden. (Every year they ask us to buy Easter Lillies, or Tulips, or this year is another flower which I ordered and I forgot the name of it). Oh well.....

Well....until next time Happy Stitching!
