A Girly piece

Love quilts was looking for girly pieces done with pink in it for a little girl so I pulled this piece out. I had started it a few years ago and the lady I intended it for died so I put it away. Then got it out earlier this year and finished it off. It laid in the box of other pieces waiting to be framed or made into something. When I saw the post about the need I pulled this one and washed it, let it soak overnight and ironed it a few minutes ago. It does have a stain at the top so I'm hoping it will be faded enough to still use or they can cut it off. Maybe use it as a pillow if nothing else. It's so cute, I just love it so am happy it will be used enjoyed by someone.

Thank you for your comments to my pieces. I have really appreciated them. It's great to know other people enjoy them and even have been enabled by some of them.

I have seen many of you talk about the new blogger. Do you like it? Does everything transfer over? I have found sometimes it takes longer for those blogs to come up and harder to make comments on. Maybe it's because I haven't changed over.

I never thought I wanted a DVD player, but my sister and her family got me one for Christmas and I'm enjoying it. My niece got me two DVD's one was one of my favorites "You Got Mail." and the over one "Never Been Kissed" which I also really liked a lot. Plus I bought a couple of DVD's and borrowed some from my mom. I also have a lot of Gaither Videos and since this is also a Video player I have been reunited with them. I didn't think I missed the VCR player, but I guess I did.

Well, I'm going to go get ready for the day, pay some bills, do a little housework and then stitch on my PM piece. I'll post a progress in a couple of days. Until next time Happy Stitching!

I love your "girly" piece, very thoughtful of you to give it to someone who can use it.

I've been behind on some of my blog reading lately but, I just got to catch up with everything you've done since before Christmas. The pieces you've finished are beautiful. Your so quick in getting pieces done you'll have the 50 piece challenge done in no time. :)

That piece is just precious! I think that it would look great on the quilt.

I love the new blogger and yes everything transfers over. IT is great and really user friendly as well.

I am glad that you are enjoying your DVD player!!

What an adorable piece. Nice to see you were able to use it in some way. :)

I have the new blogger and I like it better. It posts your new poists quickly instead of waiting several long minutes to post like the old blogger. I don't have any problems with it and everything transfers over.

The little girl and bunny is adorable, the little girl who receives it will love it.

Have fun with your DVD player, I really like You've Got Mail as well. I still play both VHS and DVD, as have a mix of both. A lot of what I have I picked up second hand at the video store or the library's used book dept., really helped to create a collection fairly inexpensively.

"You've Got Mail" is one of my favorite movies! I could watch it over and over again.

And I'm glad you asked about the new Blogger...I haven't switched over yet and have been pondering it for the past few days, wondering if it's still a mess or if they've fixed all the bugs. Nice to read some of the comments saying that all seems to be going OK with it. I may have to take the plunge... :-)

That is so delightfully girly! I bet the person you intended it for would be very happy to see it go to such good use, and it's so thoughtful of you to honor her memory that way.

That's so cute! I'm sure the recipient will love it:)

I have new blogger too and have been pretty satisfied so far. It is definitely easier to use for the non-computer person but there are a few little things I will have to ask someone else how to do. Nothing big-I want to decrease the font size on part of my sidebar and change the background color on the sidebar too.

Your 'girly' piece is so adorable. I use my combo DVD/VCR player all the time. I haven't switched over to the new blogger yet, so it's good to know that things seem to be working well.
