Final Post for 2014

Good afternoon! I hope everyone has a Happy New Year.

I have to admit I'm not sad to see 2014 end. I hope 2015 is much better then the last two years. They had their highs but also had the lowest of lows.

I started this piece last week, thinking it would only take 3 or 4 days. For being a small piece it's taking a long time, but it is very detailed. I think I'll have it done sometime Friday, hopefully in the morning. The last couple of days I have been able to stitch on it more then I have the previous days.

Last Friday I went to my niece's in Rockford. We unwrapped our gifts for each other and my sister and I spent the night. Saturday I had to get back to work at the cat shelter. It was great to see the cats again I missed them. I hadn't been there in two weeks.

Then later Sat. we had Christmas with our brother and his family. It's so much fun to be around children at Christmas. They are so excited, Yes noisy, but it's fun.

We aren't sure what is going on with our brother Tim at this point. I can't go into details but he needs prayers. Sunday my sister returned home taking Tim's cat with her, hoping it would be only a few days, or end of Jan. at longest. But it looks like it will be much longer then that, maybe at least 6 months. We aren't sure. Tim hasn't been told anything yet so hopefully they'll make some decisions beginning of next week.

Now for some great news. On Dec. 28 at midnight, our niece, Amanda gave birth to their 4th child. They named her Holly. They now have Scott who is 4, Connor, 3, Emma 2 and Holly. They have their hands full and they say this is it as far as kids go. Holly is beautiful and healthy. They live in Nebraska so it will be awhile before I get to meet her. I now have 21 great nieces and nephews with 2 more on the way.

Well.....until next time......Happy Stitching.

Merry Christmas

Good Morning and Merry Christmas. Our Christmas plans got postponed today because of illness. My niece invited us to her house but my brother doesn't want to go. So later I'll go eat with some friends. I don't feel like spending Christmas alone. Last night I went to our Christmas Eve Service last night and enjoyed it.

These are two more mini pieces to be made into ornaments later this summer. My next pieces will be larger. I'd like to get 2 more done then right around the 25th of the month work on ornaments. I'm really a seasonal stitcher so we'll see.

Tomorrow I'm going to my nieces in Rockford have Christmas with them, then come back on Sat. and have Christmas with the brother that cancelled today. Kevin and Beth have really bad colds and when they get a cold they get hit. Hopefully they'll feel better on Saturday.

Well....until next time Happy Stitching!

Season's Greetings

Good Morning. I finished this a couple of hours ago. Yes I was up early this morning! I thought of my mom as she loved cardinals and loved the Christmas season. Once I got past the border it was an enjoyable stitch. This is another one to be made into an ornament later this summer.

We've had a busy week. My sister came in and help me unpack everything and rearrange things. I love it here. It's nice and quiet. Saturn really has settled in and adjusted rather quickly. He seems to like it here too.

Thursday night we had our ladies get together. We had white elephant exchange and finger food. We had a nice time. I wasn't going to go. I skipped the dinner on Wed. I just am not in the spirit of Christmas this year too much going on. But I thought Thursday night rather then sit home and feel sorry for myself, I'd go and get out and have fun.

Saturday we passed out a thousand beanie pillows around the neighborhood. The neighbors seemed to really like them. It was a lot of fun. Our new Pastor and his family arrived in so some of the people went and helped them empty out the van. It took no time to do that there were so many people.

Sunday we had our children's program and it was cute. The children did a good job. Sunday night was a cookie exchange but I skipped that. I don't know where my cookie recipes are or even if I have any Christmas cookie recipes let alone come up with 6 dozen cookies to take. I hope there was a good turnout as it really was to get acquainted with our pastor's wife, Becky.

We had my brother's cat here from Friday until last night. My brother and I were going over there to feed her but the weekend was going to be so busy neither one of us would get over there so I told Kevin to bring her here. She did pretty good here adjusted immediately. Her and Saturn did okay together, better then I expected. I was surprised though that 6 lb Purty with no claws was actually the agressor. Saturn her is 17lbs and has claws backed off. He even let her take over his cat tree which he loves. But Purty was not going to let him on it when she was there, not even on the lower level. Tim came and got her last night. I told Tim next time he has to leave for a while we'll just bring her here as she does so much better. Most cats are best left home, but Purty seems to need the human companionship and better off being brought here.

Well, time to go do some housework and then get to stitch my next project. Until next time......Happy Stitching!

Finally a finish!

Good afternoon! Finally things have settled down here anyway. I am all moved in. My sister came for a couple of days and we got the furniture in place, everything put away and even the pictures were hung. Before she came she said "Do you think we can accomplish anything because if we won't then I can't come." I told we'd get things accomplished and we did much more then I thought we would. Saturn has adjusted very well and seems to like it here. I do too, no steps to climb. The people seem to be friendly. Also I don't feel so crowded here. Even though the apt. is said to be smaller it sure doesn't seem like it. Maybe it's the way I laid out the furniture I don't know.

Now to worry about my brother. He's still in the hospital out of town. He's suppose to come home today or tomorrow but earlier they said he'd be home Mon. or Tues. and he wasn't and we haven't heard anything as of today. I may just be going to his apt. and bringing his cat here after all. Especially since the one friend who said she'd take her until the 27th leaves for CA that day, and the other got her daughter's cat as it wasn't adjusting to her daughter's dog. And it seems to be doing well with her, so unless I find a 3rd person she's coming here and I feel at peace about that.

Now on to stitching. Needless to say I stitched next to nothing the last couple of weeks so this ornament took a while but I finished it today. It's the first of several ornaments I will be doing. One of my nieces suggested to me on facebook I do some ornaments for the great nieces and nephews. Another one said we could have a craft weekend at her house this summer or early fall and make the pieces into ornaments etc. So that is the plan.

Well....until next time......Happy Stitching!

I have moved

I haven't posted in a couple of weeks. Things just got crazy. Plus I found out my new apartment was ready for me so last week was spent packing etc. Very little cross stitching has been done.

My brother is in the hospital for a week to a month. We left his cat at the apt. thinking that would be best for her but she's not eating! So tomorrow a friend and I are going to take her to her house until my brother gets home. I know it's preferred the cat stay at home, but to get there every day since I don't drive is impossible. I went there Thurs. and another brother went there Friday and Sat. today she'll be left along, but tomorrow morning my friend and I will go get her. She is a very social cat. And since Aug. she was taken to Friends to felines, then my brother adopted her, my mom and nephew lived with my brother, my mom died, my nephew moved out and now my brother isn't there, she needs reassurance that she is okay. I feel it's best for Jody to take her, and hopefully my brother will be home before Jody goes to CA. Another friend will take her then if not. I'm almost thinking it would have been best just to let Marilyn take her now but I had already told Jody she could take her. I hope I'm not making a mistake.

Saturn seems to have adjusted to this move pretty well. He's checking everything out. Fortunately he is a calm cat. I really think I'll like it here once I get settled. But man was I a mess yesterday. And so disorganized. Tomorrow I'll go back and clean up and then be done with the apt. It's just a block away, same complex. Just on main level. Which I needed. I hope to find my stitching and get back to it this week.

Well....until next time Happy Stitching!

Remember this one?

I didn't do a very good job of scanning it. I dug this piece out this morning to get going on it and hopefully finish it up. It's Red Bird. I started it last December and didn't get it finished. The tree is a challenge to do but other then that I like the piece. The red bird will come in hopefully at the end of the week.

I've started packing everything up, I still need to get a date that I can actually move on. I actually started packing last spring or early summer, hoping to move by now. So now I'm getting serious about packing again. My cat isn't sure what to think he keeps meowing at the boxes. Like he doesn't like them. Most cats like to play in boxes, not Saturn. Like him, I'll be glad when it's all done and I'm over to the new apartment. Also my brother needs to move by end of Dec. Hopefully tomorrow he'll hear he got the apartment. His cat has claimed all his boxes for herself, she loves to play in and out of them.

Well, until next time....Happy Stitching!

MMMM Update #5 and last update

Good afternoon! Did everyone have a good Thanksgiving Weekend. I did. We went to my nieces in Rockford for Thanksgiving. I don't think my brother is going to let me ride with him again unless I'm in backseat and stitching! But that UPS or whatever you call those things, had him go on all the back roads, instead of the most direct route. Though 40 miles you only take 3 roads and 39 of the miles are two roads the 3rd road is only about 2 blocks! But no it had us go down this back road, that backroad, drove me nuts, and then took us through Greenville. It was ridiculous the way it had us go. Anyway we made it. We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner. Of course, Addie and Nolan took over the show. My brother and brother in law both had to leave, but my sister and I spent the night at Heather's. Then Friday Heather, Kay, Addie and I went shopping. It really wasn't too bad. We had a lot of fun. Even had a CS place, very small as they sold other crafts too. I wasn't that impressed with the selection but they had their books and leaflets a $1.00 a piece. I found three books to do. A gymnastic piece for Addie, a space ship for Nolan and a religious one to do for a friend

I didn't do too well on the mini month challenge. I only got 2 small pieces done and a 3rd one about 2/3 done which will finish after the first of year, I have started another small one which should be done in a couple of days.

I will be moving in Dec. I found out for sure. I'm transferring from here to an apartment on the ground level. I'm finding the steps are getting harder and harder to manage. And I think my Neurapathy and Arthritis are progressing so I needed to move. Also we are hoping and praying my brother gets his apt by Dec. 31, as he has to be out of the one he's in by then. He had a 3 bedroom apartment he shared with our mom and his son. Well, mom since died, and Andrew moved to Holland so he needs to get a 1 bedroom apartment he can afford.

Well....until next time......Happy Stitching

MMMM challenge Progress Report #4

Good afternoon! This is my update on Magnolia Blossom, it's getting close to the finish line. I hope to finish it Wed. Then I'll do a couple of other small finishes from the same book I'm wishing I would have done this on different color material it would show better.

I just got back from my brothers. We had a turkey dinner. Yesterday after church a lady came up to me and said she had a package for Tim and I. So she delievered it yesterday. It was a turkey dinner with all the trimmings from Bob Evans. They donate a certain amount of dinners to our church and they decide who to give them to, this year Tim and I were among the recipients. I wanted it today while the food was still fresh. Besides Thursday we are going to my niece's house for Thanksgiving unless the weather is too bad.

Well until next time....Happy Thanksgiving.

Another Mini Start for MMMM challenge

Good afternoon! It's a cold, snowy day outside. A good day to just stay inside and stitch. I have Potato-Corn Chowder in the crock pot and later I'll get into some hot chocolate. We bit the bullet yesterday and didn't get hit too bad, but can't say that for today. I still say since winter came so early Spring has to come in Feb and stay until June, then summer. Fall was a short season this year so spring can be a long season. Right?

Anyway I dug out another piece for the MMMM challenge. I'm not sure the pieces I'm picking are pure mini's but as far as I'm concerned they are compared to most pieces I choose to stitch. It's Magnolia Blossom from an old Stoney Creek book a friend gave me. See I'm thinking spring already doing flowers. It seems like it's moving slower then what it actually is. But looking at the fact I've only stitched about 14 hours on it it's moving quicker then I think.

Well until next time.....Happy Stitching!

Mini Finish

Hello again! Three posts in one week is rare for me. There may be a fourth one at the end of the week as I'll show my new start then. (Magnolias by Stoney Creek). I finished Giving Thanks earlier this morning. It took a while as there was about 2 weeks I got very little stitching in. I did enjoy this piece an awful lot of backstitching but back stitching really defines the piece adds a lot of detail.

Well winter is coming. Today we have snow flurries and between tomorrow and Friday we'll get 4 to 9 inches of snow. They say the western portion of the Lakeshore counties will get the most snow. We are on the eastern side of our county.

So with that, I'm already thinking spring and chose my next two mini pieces, but being flowers by Stoney Creek. I have the Magnolia started but want to be further before I show it.

Well.....until next time.....Happy Stitching!

Happy Veterans Day and MMMM Challenge

Good Afternoon! And Happy Veterans Day to the Veterans out there. I know our family has several who have served. Thank you to all the Vets who have served to keep us free.

Rather then post tomorrow the MMMM Challenge I thought I would post today since it was a week ago I first posted. It's almost done. Since scanning it this morning I finished the girl pilgrim. So it may be done tomorrow even. Guess I'll have to find another mini design.

I can't decide if it's raining or snowing outside. Snow is in the forecast. The UP really got hit hard. Almost a foot of snow up in Marquette area. That's right on Lake Superior close to Canada. We will get snow but not bad this week. I guess next week we are due to get more. But that's in the 10 day forecast. Never trust the 10 day forecast anything can change. At least I hope it changes.

Well...anyway until tomorrow or Thursday when this piece is finished Happy Stitching!

November Turtle Trot

I didn't get as much done on Turtle Trot as I had hoped to this month. I haven't stitched any more on Count Your Blessings since my last post, so you can see that right below this post. This is progress on Strengthen Me.

I did finish those Bobcat Kittens and that was a big deal.

I have been working on mini pieces this month as I thought it would be a nice break and easier. Only problem is the first mini piece I have chosen is very detailed. I'll show a picture of that later this week.

Yesterday was our annual Harvest Dinner at church. As usual the food was great, and everyone had a nice time. We had Turkey, Ham, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, squash, and a wide variety of pies to choose from. I actually took Ham over the turkey, but did choose pumpkin pie even though I bought an apple pie for it. I cheated, I bought the pie from the store. There was plenty of food to go around.

Tomorrow night we are going to try to get our Bible Study Group back going after about a month of not meeting. Something always came up. This time we said if only 3 of us can go so be it we'll still have it.

Well, I'm going to finish reading blogs and maybe get a little more stitching in. Until next time Happy Stitching!

YOTA Update (Year of the Acronymn)

It's Nov. 6 and time to post YOTA progress. I will work on it again for Dec. but next year I will choose a different piece, the piece my brother wants me to start working on again (America by Mystic Stitch) I had planned to work on it a little each month this year but that failed.

Well....things are getting back to normal. My sister came to town Tuesday and left a little while ago. We finished things up at our Mom's apartment for now. Our brother will be there until Dec. 31 so we'll do the final things then. Mostly the furniture and things she had on walls etc. My brother had an appointment this afternoon about an apartment so I'll call him a little later to see how it went.

This Sunday we are having our annual Harvest Dinner at church. Those are always so good. Last Sunday was the first Sunday our new Pastor spoke since we voted him in. Catch is he really won't be here permanently until end of Dec. as they want their children to finish off the semester where they are at. So he'll be in and out until then.

Until next time Happy Stitching

MMMM SAL

I decided to join the MMMM (Mega Monthly Many Mini SAL) I just started this piece this morning so there isn't much to show on it. It's Give Thanks a freebie by Jean Parish. When finished there will be two pilgrims and an Indian holding hands.

I did work on a couple of other pieces (Count Your Blessings and Strengthen Me) a little since I last blogged but I really have not stitched much.

I think I last posted on Oct. 25. Little did I realize the chain of events that would happen just 2 hours later and the next few days. I talked to my mom on the phone around 11 am and she sounded pretty good my brother and sister-in-law were there and we thought she'd be going home from the hospital in a day or two at most. We told each other we loved each other and I told her I'd be up that afternoon. I went to volunteer at Faithful2felines at noon and planned to go up to hospital after that. About a half hour after arriving there one of the other volunteers came up to me and said "I'll finish your two rooms your brother is here and said there's an emergency." I knew right away. So we got up to the hospital and were joined by Kevin and Beth and mom was unresponsive. My sister was on her way in from other side of state, and our other brother, Kenn was just waiting for further word as he lives in MO and could only take so much time from work. Sunday it seemed like mom was trying to respond but the Dr. said no it was just part of the dying process. Monday came and we could see she was weakening and we had to decide what to do. We wanted her to go to Harbor Hospice where dad was and a nurse did come to evaluate mom. But the Dr. at Hospice didn't want to risk the ambulance ride. Well long story short we all came to an agreement the mask that was keeping mom alive would be changed over to a canula and if she was with us on Tues. then everyone was willing to risk the ambulance ride and she could go to Harbor Hospice. Also my sister spent Sat., and Sun. nights with her and I was going to spend Monday night with her. About 4:30 Kay and Tim went down to get something to eat and Kevin and I started noticing her breathing becoming more shallow. Kevin was just about to call Kay and Tim up when they walked into the room saying they decided not to stay and felt they should come up. We think that was from God. Anyway they made it up to see mom take her last breaths. She joined dad in heaven Oct. 27 at 5:50 pm. So the next few days were hectic, so much more to do than there was with dad. We had her funeral on Sat. A long time family friend and my niece's husband sang the same songs they sang at dad's funeral. And Pastor Shane drove in and Pastor Al and my brother Kenn all spoke just like at dad's funeral. I really wanted the song I can Only Imagine by Mercy Me played so my brother found the tape and as they played the song my brothers, sister, nieces, nephews and two of our great nieces and I walked in carrying a picture of mom and dad each one of us chose and placed it on the steps then they brought her casket it. It was a nice funeral.
We all miss mom but happy she's in heaven with dad and rejoicing and praising God forever. We will see them again.

Well until next time.....Happy Stitching!

Pulling out some Turtle Trot Pieces Disaster on Bobcat Kittens

Good afternoon! I said in my last post I was going to work on some TT pieces after being obsessed with the Bobcats for 2 months! I am happy with the progress I made the last two days on this piece which is also my YOTA piece. I needed to stitch on it in Oct. since the deal is to stitch a little each month and Oct. is coming to an end. I will start working on Strengthen me when I get off the computer here. ((Count Your Blessings is a piece I can only handle a couple of days at a time then have to do something else. Even though I do like the piece and am happy with the progress I am making.

Disaster hit my Bobcat Kittens. I am so upset. I washed and ironed them fine. Saw some creases from the hoop and decided to rewash them. Fatal mistake! I didn't realize there was spaghetti sauce in the sink and didn't even see it. I always clean the sink out. The next morning I went to retrieve the piece and to my horror there was spaghetti sauce marks all over the piece. So I soaked and soaked, and soaked, and scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed. Made another big mistake in desperation decided to try to put it in the washing machine! It only faded the marks, but did little else. Not only that it frayed the piece! I may tomorrow retry the stain remover and take a tooth brush after it. I just can't today. I did let the lady at Love Quilts know what happened and if all else fails I'll mail it to her as is and she will see what she can do it. In over 30 years of stitching I never had that happen to me before! Those Bobcats took 2 months and over 120 hours. There is no time for me to redo them or ask anyone else to do it. So if they are not saveable then the quilt will be without them. I'm not a happy camper and have crucified myself mentally over and over again!

Last night my brother called me just before midnight saying the ambulance was taking our mom to the hospital. They thought she had a stroke. He found her slumped over in her chair and unresponsive. She's doing okay today, they are running tests on her to see what happened. She may go home in next day or two.

Well....until next time....Happy Stitching! If anyone has an idea how to save those Bobcat Kittens please let me know!

Happy Dance! Bobcats are Finished

Good Afternoon! I am a Happy Camper! These Bobcats are finished! I loved doing them once the heads were done but I was thrilled when the last stitch went in!

Now I am going to catch up a little and do some Turtle Trot pieces for a while. I've neglected them the last couple of months.

Well....until next time.....Happy Stitching!

On the Home Stretch!

Good Morning! Well the end is in site! I have enjoyed this piece but will be very happy to have it done. Sometime next week it will be done.

Today I start my first day volunteering at Faithful2felines. It's only for an hour. It's where my brother got his cat from a couple of weeks ago.

My mom isn't doing all that well....she's so disoriented at times. Last night I spent the night there to give my brother a break and may be back there tonight so I may sleep away this afternoon. I still say she needs to be in a nursing home. Problem is Tim and Andrew need a place to live, I told Tim he better start looking for apartments. At rate he's going he's going to die before mom because he's up all night with her and not getting much sleep.

I have fallen in love with my brother's cat though. She kept curling up on my lap last night and this morning, and giving me little kisses etc. I missed my own cat but she's a sweetheart. Of course when I got home this morning Saturn was all over me, he smelled Snowball on me.

Well....until next time happy stitching!

Update on Bobcat Kittens

Good Morning. I know today is Turtle Trot but as I said last month these kittens were going to be first priority until they are done. I am finally over half done on them and I am really enjoying them now that they are coming to life. I am hoping to be back to Turtle Trot next month. (Better be as these need to be in mail and received by Nov. 15).

There isn't anything going on since my last post (which was just a couple of days ago.) Thank you for reading my blog and leaving comments. I love to see where everyone is from and love reading comments. Until next time.....Happy Stitching!

Year of the Acronym (YOTA) update a day late

I stitched a little bit on this piece. (I'm mostly stitching on the Bobcat Kittens). I know I'm a day late but yesterday my computer and scanner would not work together nor would they this morning. I finally asked for help on Facebook and my nephew called me from MO and walked me through it. I'm happy they are working together. I wish I would have written the steps down so I know next time! Oh well....

Friday my brother put his dog down. I told him when he's ready I'd take him to Faithful2cats and get a cat. My mom has wanted a cat for years and dad wouldn't let her, then when he died and Tim moved in they waited because of the dog. They didn't want her upset or jealous. Sat. Tim called and we went and got him an all white short-haired female declawed cat. Her name was Luna but they changed it to Snowball. We like that name much better. She is adjusting very well. Tim says she jumps all over the place. And they all just love her. Even Andrew who did not like the dog at all loves this cat. In fact she slept with him one night. So all is well there. I went to the place yesterday to apply to be a volunteer. I like that place and like the fact they keep the cats until they have a good home. Sat. I have orientation. We'll see.

We still don't know if we have a new pastor but indications are he will come. He just wanted one more week to pray and know for sure. So we sure hope he comes.

It seems like I posted all this before. If I did sorry about the repost. Well....until next time....Happy Stitching.

Update on Bobcats

Good afternoon! Well it's 5 minutes before noon so I can call it noon after all. I made quite a bit of progress on the Bobcat Kittens this week. The last 2 or 3 days I've been spending more time on them. (Probably more than I should be). Now the heads are in it's coming along much better and I'm enjoying them more. I'm not quite half done with them but they'll come faster now I think.

Yesterday when I got done working in the food pantry my brother came and picked me up and he had his sweet dog Autumn with him. I was all excited as I just love her. Outside of my parents and Tim I was her favorite person and she got overly excited every time she saw me. But she was having health problems and is at least 10 going on 11. Because of the problems my brother made the tough decision of putting her down before she suffers much. So in about a half hour from now she will be put down. I cried all the way home yet petted her loved her, let her kissed me. She will be missed my my mom and Tim. So I'm feeling sad and heavy hearted but know it's the best for her. Needless to say she's been spoiled all through her life but especially the last couple of days. I got home and my sweet Saturn greeted me at the door and was all over me. He is such a sweet cat.

Tim wants to get a cat so tomorrow him and I are going to a Feline Rescue place I had never heard of until last week when I rode by it and I thought I have to tell Tim about this for when he puts Autumn down. Tim already knew about it and was planning to go there tomorrow.

Rather or not we have a Pastor at our church I don't know. We did vote for him and it was a 100 percent yes. So he's thinking and praying about it. Problem is he does have 4 children and 2 of them the 14 year old and 6 year old don't want to leave their friends and his wife has concerns but she is a mother. Yet other people she gave them the idea she wanted to come. So we'll see.

Well....until next time....Happy Stitching!

Second Bobcat showing up

Hello! I've stitched quite a bit on this piece, The second bobcat is showing up. Now that I have made progress it's going easier but I will still be glad to have this finished but I'm a long ways from it.

Last weekend was fun. We really like this Pastoral candidate and his family, we'll vote this Sunday on him. I really think it will happen. He seems to be a good fit. If it doesn't happen I think Jonathan and the rest of the search committee will cry.

Boy the flu really seems to be going around here. I know of at least 4 people from our church that have been struck by it and it doesn't leave too quickly either.

Tomorrow after working in the food pantry my sister in law and I are going out for lunch. I ordered from Feeding America this past week so that food is coming in tomorrow. I just hope it comes in earlier than they did last time I ordered.

Well until next time Happy Stitching.

Bobcats Start

Good Afternoon!
It's been a cool week around here. My electric bill will like that since I turned off the air conditioner.

I started Bobcats for Love Quilts a little over a week ago. It really was not an easy piece to really get into. It's funny because I have done 3 other pieces from this book (Endangered Young'uns by Ruth Morehead put out by Gloria and Pat), and they went pretty good. Oh by the time they were finished I was ready to start a new piece. But this piece at first didn't click and I really doubted it would be done by Nov. 15. It's going better now, but still slow going. Still wondering if they'll be done by Nov. 15 even though it's almost 2 months away.

This weekend will be a busy weekend. We have a possible Pastoral candidate coming in this weekend. (I say possible as this weekend he's just checking it out and we're checking him out to see if it's a good match. Which so far seems to be). Anyway Sat. morning the women are having breakfast with his wife at Russ's on south side of town and men are having breakfast with him at Russ's on north side of town. I'm sure the children will be there to. Then at noon we are having a picnic with the whole family on the church grounds. Sunday is Back to Church Sunday and he'll be preaching then we'll have a dinner after church with the whole family. My only concern is we have very few teens and children at church anymore, so I'm a little concerned about the children adjusting. We do have about 3 boys that are teenagers around his son's age, but I really don't know of any children the ages of the other 3 children. Maybe 1 or 2 but that's it. Our church has dropped so bad....sad, when the pastor leaves the church drops so much. Then the 28th if things go well this weekend he will candidate and we will vote on him after the service. Everyone has their hopes up high. So we are praying things work out, don't know how much longer our church will last otherwise. Those that could have carried our church through these days left. So there are only about 2 or 3 men picking up the slack. The other men are getting up in age and served their time.

Monday the 22nd it will be a year ago that my dad died. His first anniversary in heaven. But we really miss him here. We are having flowers sent in memory of my dad to the church then we'll plant them at my dad's grave. They'll be mums I think and will come up every year. We finally got the gravestone. It took forever it seemed for everything to be done and for them to finally do it. When my brother said it had to be done by the 22nd things got moving.

Well...until next time Happy Stitching.

Year of the Acronym (YOTA)

I just saw on someones blog about YOTA and I thought it sounded like fun so have decided to join. It's where you pick out an UFO and stitch on it some each month until it is finished. You post the start which I am here, then each month post the progress you made on it. This also is one of my Turtle Trot pieces so it may get done. This piece is called Count Your Many Blessings by Leisure Arts.

Well...until next time Happy Stitching!

Turtle is Finished!

Good morning!I finished this piece earlier today. It was a cute, fun stitch but I was happy to get it finished. So much green in it.

Now I've started Bobcat Kittens from Ruth Morehead's Endangered Young'uns, published by Gloria and Pat. I've done several from this book and these animals are so cute. A lot of work as they are not easy but worth it in the end. It's going to a quilt project we are doing at Cross Stitch Addicts featuring these animals. The quilt will go to a child at Love Quilts.

Well....we finally have a potential Pastor at our church after 15 months without one. He will be coming 2 weekends the end of Sept. Then we'll vote on him. We are so happy as we need a Pastor bad. We've had so many people leave our church during these months and plus some active long time members died. We are afraid we may not have a church much longer the way we were going. But we are confidant God will turn things around once we get a new Pastor. Problem is we are an inner city church and sometimes they don't grow quite as fast as other churches.

Our mom is really enjoying Life Circles. At first she was leary as she had to change Dr.'s and everything, but she's starting to like it now. She goes 2 days a week. They pick her up about 9 am and bring her back around 4:30 pm. She says sometimes the afternoons are boring but like Wed. afternoon they took the people on a Patoon Boat Ride out to Blue Lake and she loved that.

I was having pain in my jaw (only other side then the jaw that has created problems) so went to Dentist. Can you believe I'm teething! I have a wisdom tooth that never really popped through and now it's starting to. He said that happens once in a while, but not too often.

Well.....not much is happening so until next time....Happy Stitching!

Quite a bit of progress

Happy Labor Day! Anyone have special plans for today? We usually don't do anything on Labor Day. I will say last year on Labor Day it was Sept. 2 and we were with our dad at Harbor Hospice as it was our parents 63rd wedding anniversary and their last. As dad died 20 days later. My sister-in-law, Beth had made him Meat Pie at his request. It is a Finnish dish with Hamburg, carrots, and potatoes inside pie crusts. We had it a lot when growing up and he wanted it one last time. He loved it and even had 2 helpings.

I made a lot of progress on this turtle and am getting anxious to get it done. I made a mistake somewhere, and really don't know exactly how. All I know is to correct it I would have to rip off half the piece, I'm not doing that. I'm just improvising.

Not much is happening here, so until next time....Happy Stitching!

A Turtle start

Good afternoon. After a stormy, rainy morning it's going to be a steamy afternoon. Grand Rapids is suppose to reach 90 I don't know if we will.

Last week was a busy week. My niece, her husband and children were in town from VA Mon.-Wed. It was great to see them again. We had only seen Scott who is 4 when he was 2 months ago. We had not seen Connor who is 3 or Emma who just turned 2 before. They were cute. Hope it's not another 4 years before we see them again. Amanda isn't looking too forward to doing the trip every year though. Like all little girls Emma loves the movie Frozen. I don't quite get why little girls like it so well, but I do like that song "Let It Go" We took the kids to the park Tuesday as they had so much energy and needed to run. That was a lot of fun. Next year they'll have a baby to add so it will be 4 small children. Also my sister came in for the weekend.

My sister and I went to Jo Ann Fabrics and I got material and floss and a cute book by Stoney Creek called Bug Babies. So I now have Woodland Babies (this turtle is from that book), Farm Babies, and Sea Babies. Wonder if there are anymore of those animal baby books.

I can't believe how early school starts in some places. My little great niece, Chelsea started Kindergarten Aug. 13. She loves it. My niece-law-posted a picture of her on facebook doing her first homework assignment. Kindergarten and they have homework already. Although Addie told me in Kindergarten they were teach computer so I shouldn't be surprised. My great nephew, Nick, who will be 5 in Sept. started school today so I'm wondering how he likes it. He lives in CO and Chelsea lives in MO. Yes, our family is all over the USA!

Well....until next time....Happy Stitching

Sea Horse and Shells is finished

Good eveneing! I finished this piece early this morning. But I left not long afterwards and didn't get home until a little while ago.

My niece and her husband and 3 children are in town for a couple of days. They live in VA. It was the first time in 4 years they came for a visit and may be another 4 years before they come again. Their 3 children were more then ready to get out of the car when they got here and were pretty wound up all that energy. I can't imagine traveling with three small children like that and expecting a 4th one. Scott is 4, Connor is 3, and Emma just turned 2. But they were so sweet. I can't wait to see them tomorrow. They are going to Wisconsin from here to see his family. Since his parents are also divorced they'll only spend a couple of days with each parent too. They only have a week's vacation. I suggested they fly next year but that would be way to expensive for a family of 6. So they said we'll have to visit them the next few years. Don't all parents of small children feel that way when traveling. Their 4th child will be a girl due in Jan. but since all 3 of her children were born early Amanda figures a Christmas baby. I told her to check herself into the hospital a month early so she's at the hospital when the baby is born. Emma was born on he highway on way to hospital delivered by Amanda herself as Luke was calling for help. He went to help her and found her holding the baby! I'm not kidding she came that quickly.

I have barely started a turtle from Stoney Creek's Woodland babies for a surprise baby quilt we are doing. I can't wait to get it going. Well...until next time.....Happy Stitching.

Seahorse and Seashells Start

Good evening.
It's been a nice day. Today was my birthday. I worked in the Food Pantry this morning then went out to lunch with some friends. It was really nice. We went to Mr. B's Pancake House and while they do have lunch menus most of us ordered breakfast. My friend, Debbie paid for mine. And unbeknown to me she had a cake reserved. It was sort of funny and awkward because Louanna had left and I saw her purse and I was going to hide it just to give her a scare, when the waitresses came up with the cake singing Happy Birthday so everyone in the room sang it too. I was sort of embarrassed by the attention but thought it was special too. Debbie got me a plaque that says Faith makes all things possible. (That would make a good CS piece). Also a cat paper weight, and a devotional book. I loved all three items. So it turned out to be a good day. Then I got home and my mom and sister had left messages for me. I got all kinds of messages on facebook.

Yesterday I started this piece for an emergency quilt we are doing at Quilts for Older Children and Adults. The theme is Sea Life. Since it is an emergency not much time has been given so the squares are smaller. Being a smaller square it sure is tricky. I had to frog most of the second seashell and may have to do a little more tomorrow, so I didn't get much done on it today. I'll get more done tomorrow.

Well...not much is happening so until next time Happy Stitching!

Finished!

Good Morning! I just finished this earlier this morning. As much as Minnie Mouse gave me fits and I almost grew to dislike her, she had to be frogged so many times, the piece was worth it. And I am happy with it. This will go to a 3 year old at Love Quilts who has Mickey Mouse Clubhouse as theme of his quilt. Now on to starting the sea horse and sea shells for Quilts for older children and adults.

Until next time....Happy Stitching!

August Turtle Trot

I did do stitching on 3 of my Turtle Trot pieces. No finishes, but one will be finished either tomorrow or Tuesday morning at latest. Two of them I don't have the previous pictures on my new computer. Now to see if I do it right this time! Mickey Mouse as of July.

Mickey Mouse as of today

Here is Strengthen Me being done in memory of my dad.

And the last one His Eye Is On the Sparrow.

So there are my TT pieces that I made progress on. We'll see how well I do in the next month as I do have two more quilt squares to do and when Mickey Mouse is finished I will be doing them.

Thanks for looking. Until next time.....Happy Stitching!

Back to Mickey Mouse

Good Morning. It looks like we will have rain later today. We need the rain.

I decided to get Mickey Mouse back out and finish it off as it is due Oct. 1 and I have 2 other quilt squares due, one Sept. 15 (a smaller piece to be stitched on 7x7 fabric within 5x5 for an emergency quilt at Quilts for Older children and adults. I'm doing a sundial as theme is by the sea. The other piece is a turtle for a surprise quilt at one of the groups I'm in. Anyway I've made quite a bit of progress on Mickey since I last posted it. I'm hoping to finish it by the end of the week.

Yesterday we went out to the campground where my sister, and her family was camping. Also several other family members joined us as we celebrated my brother Tim's birthday. It was fun. Since today is going to bring rain I had suggested to my sister and nieces they take the kids to the Mall. Anyway when talking to my niece Michelle, I suggested it and since 4 year old Nick was right there I spelled out the word train. As they do give train rides at the mall. Nick's face lit up. Michelle and I looked at each other and Michelle says"I think he knows what you spelled, he can read." I said "I figured that by way his face lit up." So Michelle asked Nick if he knew what I spelled and he said "Yes, Train," the little smarty! He'll be five next month and is starting kindergarten. I told my sister later and she said Michelle and Scott read to the boys a lot and Scott and Nick get up earlier then Michelle and Chase and they spend time together reading. Here I thought it was amazing that Addie who just turned 6 and entering 1st grade could read. But then she has been keeping a journal for a year now and you can tell she doesn't get help because most of her words are spelled right but some you can tell she spelled the way it sounded. I have smart great nieces and nephews. Although I don't think their your brothers are quite as smart as Addie and Nick. But they are only 3, barely 3. I mostly wrote this post to brag about Nick.

Thanks for reading my blog and leaving comments, I really appreciate them. Until next time Happy Stitching!

What a Week last week was, It was great.

And this week will be another busy but fun week.

Last week we had VBS at our church. It started out really low but each day we had more kids and the last night we had more than we had in years. We also were excited about the outcome and the positive responses we received this year. To top it off we had our Annual Community Wide Pig Out on Saturday. There again we had more from the community come then we ever had and had very positive responses from them. This year too the people from church reached out more to the community then what they had in past. Both were preceded by much prayer by our church members preceding Bible School and the Pig Out and we attribute the success to the prayers of the people. We really needed that encouragement as our church has had a very rough year. Loosing 3 pastors, having several active members die, others leaving the church and a robbery, plus someone stealing money from the church and from the elderly. We needed something good to happen to turn us around. Several from the Pig Out and VBS were in church Sunday. We thank God for that. We hope to see them again!

This week my sister and brother-law and their 2 daughters and families are camping near here so we'll get to see them off and on. The one daughter is just here with her 2 little boys as her husband had to get ready for his students. Classes start middle of Aug. But Michelle and the boys are here. he weather would be warmer for them. As the 4 little ones are all going to want to go down to the lake and swim. Well they can at least play in the sand. Lake Michigan's waters are 20 degrees cooler then normal this year they say. That's pretty cold.

Now about stitching. I stitched a little on Mickey Mouse, then went to His Eye is On the Sparrow, and now I'm stitching more on Strengthen Me. I'd like to have it done by Sept. 22 as it's in memory of my dad, and that will be 1st anniversary of his moving to heaven. Phil. 4:13 was his favorite verse. By the way, the word hens, is actually end of strengthens, I just haven't stitched the first few letters yet.

Thank you for reading my blog and leaving comments. I really appreciate them. Until next time.....Happy Stitching!

Hmmmm Not sure what happened yesterday

Good afternoon. I think I'm going to delete yesterday's post. I had posted this picture of progress on His Eye is On the Sparrow and a link about a drawing and neither one of them worked so I'll try again today.

This piece will be laid down as I made a mistake, and I don't have the floss to continue on the lettering. Hopefully it will come tomorrow. Getting more of the lettering in will help me find the mistake I hope plus make sure the borders are even with each other. One thing I am noticing, because it's been a few years since I started the piece, I think the floss dye changed a little bit as I notice a different shade on the right side, then what is used on the left and I know I used the right colors. So I'm blaming it on DMC changing their dyes, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Nancy at Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe is having a nice drawing for her birthday, (which is same day as mine). She'll have 10 winners. I am going to try to retry the link. It didn't work yesterday when I tried it. So I'm retrying today. Okay it's not working so I guess just go to her blog.
Well until next time....Happy Stitching!

Dug Out an old UFO Piece

I got tired of working on the Mickey-Minnie Mouse piece so dug this out of my UFO drawer. It is one of my original Turtle Trot pieces so thought I would finally work on it. I started this years ago and if it wasn't for joining TT I probably wouldn't have thought of it again. Anyway I've been wanting to get this out for a couple of months now. The Walt Disney piece isn't due until Oct. so I can work on some TT pieces for now.

Well....until next time Happy Stitching!

Now we're moving along

Good Afternoon.
How is everyone doing today?

After having to frog two days of work over the weekend, I have restitched Minnie's head. And believe me I pouted for a little while when I had discovered the mistake and how much would have to be ripped out. But it was the kind of mistake I couldn't let go or even think about improvising. I knew I'd be happy I ripped it out in the long run, and I was right. Now I'm sailing along on the piece.
javascript:;
Next week we are having Bible School at our church. I'm helping out with crafts. I'm not very good at crafts, other than cross stitching and that may be a matter of opinion. Anyway, I was reassured that the crafts were easy. I told them I had the ability of a 4 or 5 year old in crafts, they told me I'd fit right in with the kids then. (LOL)

Our Bible Study group has been meeting ever other Sunday and the study we are doing now on Prayer is great. It really has challenged us and convicted us to take Prayer more seriously and to start the day off reading the Bible and praying. It really makes a difference. I have enjoyed this study, and learned so much more than I did from some of our other studies. In fact Saturday we are handing out brochures about Bible School and our Pig Out in two weeks, and this time I'm going to help. Usually I don't but this time I'm stepping out of my comfort zone. Also in the next two weeks they are having prayer for our church as right now we are really hurting and going through one of the rougher patches I have seen it go through in all the years I went there. (Since I was 4 or 5, but I was in GR for 25 years, but came off and on then.) Anyway I committed myself to two times, both on Wednesday, tomorrow and a week from tomorrow. We expect to see answers to our prayers and for Bible School and the Pig Out to be successes. Hopefully we'll have a new pastor this fall but we'll see. We've been without one for over a year now.

Oh I have a question for you dog people out there. My brother has a Llapo who is almost 11 and loved by our whole family. Anyway lately she's been wetting on the floor and leaving messes, even if we walk her, we'll get her back home and she messes sometime later, especially when my mom, brother, or nephew leave the house. Someone said this is typical of a llapso when they get older. Is this true, or is she just loosing control (which is what we think). If that is the case they may have to put her down. Which that is a decision my mom and brother will have to make.

Oh yesterday, I finally decided I was going to have to downsize my cable because man it was just getting too expensive and I couldn't affford that every month. So I called them, and well long story short. I get to keep HGTV after all plus they added a few channels and knocked over $60.00 off my bill a month for a year anyway. I'm very happy about that.

Well....until next time....Happy Stitching!

Progress on both Mickey and Minnie Mouse and Ex. 20:15

Good Morning! It's finally starting to feel like summer again after a cool spell.

I have made some progress on Exodus 20!15 and progress on Mickey and Minnie Mouse. I'm waiting for some floss to come in to go further on Ex. 20!15. It's on it's way to me. I ordered it Monday and sometimes I'll get my order 2 days after they mailed it and other times it may be a week. I'm hoping to get it today. They mailed it out on Monday.

We went to my niece's house on Tuesday and had a great time. Of course Addie and Nolan and their dog Cheerio were the center of attention. Addie just turned 6 and will be entering 1st grade. She showed us a journal she is keeping. For being so young, she is good at reading and spelling things. She misspelled a few words but that's her age too. We told her to keep the journal through the years. She started it a year ago. We know 10 years from now she will not show us her journal. She just needs to work on getting her printing neater is all. She also showed us her gymnastic skills. She's taking swimming lessons and gymnastics this summer. Nolan just turned 3 and showed us his room, and his cars and trucks. Love those two kids. It should be illegal to be as cute as they are.

Well....until next time....Happy Stitching!

Another new start and another win

Good morning!
I got anxious to start Ex. 2:20 piece by My Big Toe Designs. It was the one I won at 123 stitch. It's going well. I sort of wish I would have changed the colors but that's okay. This piece will be added to Turtle Trot.

I entered 3 drawings this past couple of months (first ones I had entered in years) 2 of them at 123 stitch. This is the one I won there. It'll be fun to do for a Patriotic Love Quilt Square. Isn't it cute?
I will probably do Miss Liberty for Love Quilts and possibly a portion of the Teddy Bear one. Then Mary Ann (Just Stitching) had a drawing on her site and I won that. I look forward to seeing it. Only problem, Mary Ann, I don't have your e mail address so if you don't see my reply here is my e mail address....Barb k 28 at yahoo dot com. I'll send you my address when I get your e mail. I look forward to getting it and will do it this summer. I love Patriotic pieces and summer is when I do them. So now I'm trying to decide if I want to keep entering drawings, or just lay low again. My mom won a lot last Friday at Life Circles, then over the weekend her winning streak continued she won my sister and I all but one time on Push Rummy and Mexican Dominoes. Our two favorite games to play when we're together.

My sister came to town on Friday and will return Wed. She was going to go back yesterday but because of a family emergency (I won't go into here) she's staying until tomorrow. She came because some lifelong friends were speaking at our church on Sunday. They are missionaries to Mexico and on furlough for 6 weeks. Anyway when we got to church Sunday it was a surprise! We not only saw Jann and Paul but we saw Paul's brothers and sister, plus 2 other couples and another friend all who had been friends of ours most of our lives. We had a reunion, I was so excited I was so hyper. It was great to see them all again. Most of them went out to eat afterwards but my sister and I chose not to go, as we felt it was more for the family but we didn't realize the others were going too, oh well. At least we had a good time seeing them and some pictures were taken of some of our old youth group at church.

Last night I got a call from my mom at about 9:30 pm asking me to see if a certain little 4 legged llapso was at my door. My brother's dog just loves me and she thought maybe she snuck out when my sister took me home. Kay drove around twice looking for Autumn. About 10 I called back and said, "Kay why don't you come get me, I'm sure she's in the apartment somewhere, if she is, she will come when she hears my voice." So Kay came got me, and sure enough I went into the bedroom talked to my mom and called Autumn and she came out from under the bed! We all laughed so hard, so of course my sister and I took her for a walk together since it was dark I wouldn't do it alone. So my sister took me home and called back later and said "After worrying about Autumn and searching for her, and even walking for her, what does she do leave a mess for Kay while she was taking me home. Kay goes, "That's the thanks I get." Autumn is an older dog and to be honest we are questioning how much longer she'll be with us as she is constantly wetting on the carpet and leaving messes. Of course if my brother and nephew would take her out more when she wants she wouldn't do that. You can believe my brother is going to hear about last night and he'll laugh too. She wouldn't respond to Kay or mom but boy did she respond to me. Kay says, "We should have thought about this 3 hours ago instead of all that worrying we did and the driving around I did. Next time Autumn disappears, they'll come get me.

Later today we're going to my niece's house. She recently moved to a house they had built for them. We'll get to see Addie and Nolan too.. Can't wait.

Well...until next time Happy Stitching. Thank you for reading my blog and for the comments you leave. I appreciate them.

July Turtle Trot

Hello! My computer crashed last month so I couldn't show my Turtle Trot. And to be honest I only worked on one Turtle Trot piece since July 10,and I can't show the before because it's on the computer that crashed. Here is progress on Friends are Flowers in the garden of Life

I finished Sterns and Great Blue Heron pieces for Love Quilts but they weren't added to my Turtle Trot anyway. Mickey Mouse giving Minnie Flowers is added and here is progress from the other day. This piece is really moving fast and I am enjoying it.

Sorry I don't have more to show but I really needed to get these Love Quilts pieces done. Mickey and Minnie isn't due until Oct. so I will definitely get some more progress on other pieces in Aug. I'm sure...I hope.

Well....until next time Happy Stitching!

Sneak Peak at WIP

Can you guess what it will be? I think it's obvious. Anyway this is after 6 hours of stitching.
I just wanted to give you a sneak piece and see if anyone can guess. Until next time Happy Stitching!

Great Blue Heron is finished

I finished this piece this afternoon. I really enjoyed doing him. Now I only have two more quilt squares to do I'm committed to. Then I can work more on some of the projects I have started and laid down. I also am anxious to start the piece I won. Oh and I won another drawing at 123 stitch for a Patriotic piece. I'm anxious to get that pattern too and start it this summer. I rarely enter drawings or contests, but the two that I entered I won. Maybe I should enter more. But I don't enter if I don't think I'll do the piece.

Anyway I have my next piece all kitted up and ready to start tomorrow afternoon. Not saying what it is except it's cute, I'm anxious to do it and is for a very young boy. Oh and from an old, old book.

Not much is happening right now so until next time....Happy Stitching!

A reminder of days gone by

The last two places I worked at in Grand Rapids had ponds. The one Assistant Care Center had ducks the Nursing Home had Ducks and Swans. There was on Great Blue Heron who visited both places. I use to love seeing him fly in his wing span was so awesome and I thought he was beautiful. I found this pattern and it made me think of him so I decided to have it be my contribution to another Sea Life piece. I love doing sea life pieces, but I'm almost running out of patterns for them. Time to buy some more?

Well....maybe next year or the following year. I have to pay my credit card down after having to charge the computer, printer and everything else that went with it. There went the gain I had been making on the credit card, set me back over a year!

Can't believe this is already July 1. Boy this year is going by fast. I guess it's true the older you get, the faster time goes.

Well....until next time Happy Stitching!

Finished Walk into the Sunshine

Hello again!
Boy I'm blogging a lot this month. Anyway I finished this piece today. The backstitching drove me nuts and I did it as I went along. But it made the piece so worth it. Now I have started Great Blue Heron for a Seaside quilt.

I have a complaint. This one phone number calls me 3 or 4 times a day saying this is last chance to lower my credit card interest rate. I finally started answering the phone to tell them to take me off the list. The first time they said no problem we'll do. But they called back two days later several times that day, so I told them again take me off your list. They hung up on me before I got the words out, and they have done that 3 days in a row now. I've had it with them. Oh I called the number back to see what would happen and I get "you have reached a nonworking number" but these people just called me from that phone! Monday I think I'm calling my bank. What can I do? I want off their list, I'm sick of their calls I've tried everything to get them to stop!
Well I'm of my soap box.

Until next time....Happy Stitching!

See what I Won!

Good Afternoon!
Earlier this week I received an e mail from Debbie at MBT Designs that I won her contest at 123 stitch. She had us guess a number between 1 and 500 I chose 448 and came closest. I was delighted. I could choose any chart or accessory I wanted. That was hard as she has so many nice ones. So I chose this one. I plan to do it for a future girl at Love Quilts. I am so anxious to start it in a couple of months.

Question--How do I get my cat to quit trying to chew on cords to my back up system on the computer? Especially when I print something out. I think that's what gets him interested. He tries to greet the paper as it comes out and the back up system box is right near there....just so tempting. I just moved it to the side of the computer desk instead of in front of it so we'll see.

Well....I'll probaby have a post tomorrow night or Saturday of the finished Walk into the Sunshine. So until then....Happy Stitching

Backstitching is a Necessary Evil

Good afternoon!
It's a cloudy day here. We've had so much rain lately but we need the rain.

I have come to the conclusion that backstitching is a necessary evil! It's a pain at times but it sure makes the piece look a lot better. Anyway, this piece is moving right along. It should be done Friday morning. I like doing it but oh so much backstitching. Sorry the scan isn't very good. When it's finished I try from a different angle and maybe the whole piece will get on it.

Saturn has discovered paper comes out of the printer! This morning I was trying to scan this piece and was having problems, so decided to print something out. He was right there ready to catch the paper. Then he decided to proceed and rub himself against it and the cords to my backup system, then he tried chewing on them! What is with him and chewing! Do all cats do that. I don't remember Whiskers doing it, but I remember having a problem with Buffy on that, she was so bad at that I had to unplug everything whenever I left the house. That was before I had a computer.

Has anyone seen, "Letters to God"? I saw it with my mom, brother, and sister-in-law the other day. I really liked it and it made me realize what our kids at Love Quilts and their families go through. Made it more real to me.

Well....until next time....Happy Stitching!
