Lots more progress

I am real happy with how well this is progressing and moving. Yes, I've had to do some frogging. But for a Stoney Creek piece it is moving quite smoothly and quickly. I love working on it and seeing it come to life. At rate I'm going I will have it done sometime over the weekend! This is progress after 40 hours of stitching!

Yesterday someone gave me well over 100 Cross Stitch Books at church, most of them I did not have. They were older but good ones. I had a hard time getting through the church service. I couldn't wait to get home and look at them all! She said she would never be stitching again so gave them to me. Most of the books were in excellent shape too. I loved it. I was like a little kid at Christmas when I got home.

Also last night we had a concert at church by a man who I knew since we were kids going to Center Lake Bible Camp, then later at Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music. It was a good concert. It was great talking to him and his wife and brought back so many memories of GRSBM

We have been lucky as far as the storms go the last couple of times. We were just a little north of them. We may get hit a little with the next two but not as bad as most of the areas. We are going into the deep freeze for a few days then suppose to warm up later in the week. I really am ready for spring!

Well, until next time Happy Stitching!

This looks so wonderful! Nice progress and Stoney Creek does have nice patterns. I'm doing a bear afghan from Stoney Creek. I'm looking forward to see the finish of it.

It is amazing the detail in this horse pattern - I know SC is hard, but it sure is worth it - great job.

Congrats on the stash haul!! I would be soooo excited myself. Closest I ever came was someone giving me a half a trash bag full of cs quilt squares partially done and a bunch of floss. I was excited about the floss, and have laid the quilt squares to the side to figure out what to do with them later.

And how wonderful for your friend to give you all of those cross stitch books!! That is so exciting!
I would have had a hard time sitting still in church too! I'm so happy for you:)
Stay safe and warm!!

He looks fabulous Barb. My goodness he really is getting stitched quickly. Is that because of all those 'new to you' patterns.LOL)

Oh how I know what you felt like waiting for the church service to end. I received a bunch of patterns from a friend last year and spent many a night touching and looking at all this magic.
