Back to the Zinnia's

Progress on this has been very slow. It's been one of the most difficult pieces I have ever done, but it is so pretty. I love it and when it's done will be worth all the frustrations I'm sure. I haven't had much time to work on this piece this past week either as I've been at the campground a lot.

It was a nice week. Got to see Addison and Johnny. Addison is 2 1/2 months old now and smiling and cooing more. She's so cute. Johnny at 19 months kept everyone on their toes. What is it with Toddlers and roads. It's like the road just attracks them and calls them by name!

We played Ladder Ball a little. It's a game we play at our church picnics a lot but my sister and brother in law bought it recently. Once I caught on to the game it was great and my sister and I even won against her daughter and son in law. I got a Pepsi out of that deal! But my first few times I'll never live down. Hit my brother-in-law's car, got one ball up in a tree, which my brother and his girlfriend got on a picnic table and used a pole to get down! But I settled in and became quite good at the game if I do say so myself.

Well, the week is over and now it's back to reality. Next week I'll clean my apartment. I plan to do a lot of stitching now through the weekend. Maybe feel like I'm getting somewhere on this piece.

Well until next time Happy Stitching!

Beautiful work. And slow progress is better than no progress at all. Good on you for challenging yourself with a more difficult design, the beautiful end result will be well worth it.

Oh I just love this, the colors are so beautiful, it will definitely be worth it in the end. May you find lots of time to stitch and no frogs allowed. CJ

This really is a pretty piece Barb. It will be so worth all the trouble once it is finished.

Sounds like you had a fun time, and made stitching progress. The flowers are looking beautiful, but the detail does look like it would take an extra dose of concentration and lots of color changes. It will be gorgeous when done.

Your zinnias are gorgeous. They look quite real.

I am glad you enjoyed your time with your family!! I wonder if Ladderball is similar to Cornhole - that is where you try to toss a bean bag into a hole on a wooden platform several yards away.
