Wind Surfer is Finished

I don't know why but this was the most annoying piece for me. I think it's because of the bright colors, it's not why I would typically pick. But I love watching the wind surfers on Lake Michigan, especially when the waves are just right. They can do so many amazing stunts on these surfboards with sails. And they are so graceful! We could watch them by the hour!

Yesterday was a sad day as it was the funeral of a long time friend of the family. His in-laws and I were really close at one time. Now because we don't live near each other and many in the family have died we lost contact with some. One of them Jan, who was one of my best friends came in for his funeral, I hadn't seen her in 30 years. So we exchanged addresses and e mail and say we will get back in touch. We'll see. I confess I am not the best at answering e mails let alone snail mails.

I can't believe that July is almost over! Where did the time go! In a couple of weeks the Olympics will be going on. I'm looking forward to seeing the Gymnastics, Swimming and Diving Events and some Track and Field events.

Does anyone watch Design Star? Who do you think will win? Both Matt and Jen have been pretty consistent so I really don't care which one will win. I was rooting for Trisha but she came in 3rd. I did like Jen's design better than Matt's last week.

Well, enough chatting. Until next time Happy Stitching!

That came out beautiful.

Sorry to hear about your friend passing. Hopefully, you can keep in contact with Jan. I know I really miss my best friend but, I know right now she is not the best person. I keep in contact with her mother when I can remember to call.

I like the gynmastics, swimming and figure skating. lol

Very bright colors on the wind surfer, Barb. We have alot of them around here, but we don't have waves in the rivers and Chesapeake Bay for them to do all the tricks.

I'm excited to see the Olympics start, too. I love the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, gymnastics, equestrian, and swimming/diving events.

Wind Surfer looks great. I really like the bright colors.

I have also nominated you for the Brillante Blogger Award. I just noticed you had already received it but now you will have two :)

Life is funny, isn't it?!?!?! I was just reconnected with my childhood friend after she lost her husband a couple months ago. I'm glad you found your friend again!

I also am excited about the Olympics!!

Fun finish, the colors are so pretty and remind me of the colors of the sails I see on the lake. Didn't see you mention your Waxing Moon design that was lost earlier, hopefully that doesn't mean you couldn't find it.

Oh wow! Those are some bright colors but very fitting for the sails :o) I bet they are fun to watch.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend :o( How ironic that it got you in contact with a long lost friend though.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments that you have left on my Blog Barb. Unfortunately LTD is long term disability :o( At least Brie is coming along very well :o)
