More Progress

I'm 3/4 of the way done on this piece now. I hope to have it done July 3. Just a date to shoot for. We'll see. It may be more like the 5th before it's done. But I'm anxious to get it done.

Does anyone have plans for 4th of July? I'm not sure if I'm doing anything or not, my guess is no. Which is fine with me. I can stitch more. Besides right now they are saying it's going to rain Tues. and Wed. We'll see. I may just stay inside and stitch or if it's nice go to some friends with a pool and join others there. They have a get together every 4th of July.

Anyone else have an older cat? I'm noticing Whiskers is starting to show his age more (14 1/2). He's still pretty vibrant but he doesn't jump like he use to. Today was the first time in a few days I saw him on his favorite shelf in the closet.
He had justlooked up there and walked by, went to the bedroom.

Well until next time Happy Stitching!

Great work on the stitching.

No 4th July plans here in Oz, but I do have a Christmas in July dinner to get organised for.

It would be nice to have such a beautiful piece done so soon. I fear if it were me stitching it, I'd be looking at a July 2008 finish date. LOL!

No older kitties here. 14+ is a very admirable age. :)

Very nice. It looks wonderful.

We have big plans. The whole family will meet at my parents for a good country dinner (it's been a long time since we had these dishes). At night, we are having a big bonfire, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Finally, my BIL will set up his semi-annual HUGE firework show. It is really big.

Our Felisca is a 17 1/2 year Siamese. She usually moves slowly, unless she is ready to eat.

Oh my goodness Barb - where do you find the time? Navajo Land looks great and at the rate you're going you should manage you deadline easily.
Enjoy the remainder of your weekend.

You've made wonderful progress, I'll bet you do have this done by the 5th.

As to older cats, I have 2 dogs and 3 cats and they all are getting older. My two oldest cats are 13 and 14. They still get around pretty good, but the jumping is decreasing. I think maybe their joints start to ache like ours do. For the most part they will try to find a way to get up to something without having to do the longer jump up (or down). For example, to get up to the sink (they love to drink water there) they'll jump on the chair, then the counter, and then go to the sink rather than just jump straight up.

That's looking great! A big design! My cat is just 8 1/2 but she is a lazy thing. Always wants to stay in and sleep. She had a stroke though 4 yrs ago so that prob has something to do with it. xx

It's so amazing!

No big plans - just stitching! We'll probably go set off fireworks with some friends' kids, though :)
