Figure Skater Start

Good evening! Since I got so into the Ice Skating in the Olympics I decided to do this Ice Skater I've had in my stash for at least 2 or 3 years. She had a rough start but she's going better now. Only thing is she calls for some beads and I don't do beading. I did but now I'm older I can't see the eye of the beading needle to thread it, and the other needles are too big for the beads. So I'm thinking of just using metallic thread and doing French knots. Or just do the metallic thread and not French knot it. What would you do? The piece is by Lynne Nicorletti.

I tried a couple of times today to read blogs that were posted today and it keeps saying that I am not following any blogs. I do to, I probably follow over a 100! I had that problem once before and the next day I was able to do it from the dashboard again. My blog list doesn't tell me who just updated that's why I go to the dashboard.

There isn't much happening to write about so until next time Happy Stitching.

Hi Barb! What I do now, is whenever I start following a blog, I make sure that I say to follow with Bloglovin. That way I don't miss anyone's posts. They're automatically sent once a day with everyone that did post.
I'm 67 and my eyes aren't what they used to be either. I ordered a pair of MagEyes and love the. They aren't real expensive and come with two lenses you can use. Well worth the money.
Your piece is looking so pretty. I love they colors. I think I'd go with just metallic threads. Wouldn't french knots be hard to do with it?
You have a wonderful week.

Nice start, this will be fun to watch grow. As to beads, I don't like doing them, so try to avoid when can. I'd see what effect you get with metalics and then decide, may not even need french knots. Cute earlier precious moments piece too, love the dog :)
